The childhood residence of Francis Ouimet is located at 246 Clyde Street in Brookline, Massachusetts and was built in 1887. Ouimet was a self-taught former caddie who famously won the 1913 U.S. Open at the Country Club which is located across the street from his childhood home.

The craftsmen at Seaport Shutter were chosen to handcraft custom exterior shutters for the Ouimet home, replicating the shutter style that once existed on the building a century ago. A Seaport Shutter mahogany screen and storm door finished in a historic color with carved golf clubs was installed on the front entrance. Seaport Shutter Company was part of preserving the historic appearance of the home with a nod to the legacy of Ouimet and the game of golf.
